01Commitment to Zero Personal Data Harvesting
PlanDrivo does not require users to create an account, register, or provide personal identity credentials (such as CNIC, passport, phone number, or passwords) to plan routes, calculate fuel budgets, or view motorway tolls. Our tool is open, transparent, and built to respect user anonymity.
02How We Handle Geolocation (GPS) Data
When you grant permission for location access, PlanDrivo uses your browser's standard HTML5 Geolocation API solely to:
- Center the interactive Google Telemetry map on your immediate vicinity.
- Automatically suggest your nearest city as the departure point (e.g., "Current Location (Faisalabad)").
Important: Your precise GPS coordinates are processed exclusively in your client-side browser memory. We never store, log, track, or share your movement history on our persistent servers.
03Cookies & Local Preferences
PlanDrivo uses minimal browser local storage strictly to remember functional preferences during your session:
- Your active vehicle preference (e.g. Suzuki Alto 660cc or Honda CD 70).
- Customized engine fuel mileage overrides (km/L).
- Trip selection mode (One-way vs. Round-trip).
We do not use invasive third-party cross-site advertising tracking cookies.
04Third-Party Map & Routing Services
To provide accurate route coordinates and visual map tiles, PlanDrivo connects with standard map data providers:
- OpenStreetMap & OSRM: For computing road network distances and polyline geometries.
- Google Map Tile Servers: For rendering visual roadmap and satellite visual layers in Leaflet.
These services may log standard HTTP request metadata (such as IP address and browser user-agent) in accordance with their respective public API policies.
